(b) The nitrogen-ϐixing bacteria present in root nodules of leguminous
plants is rhizobium bacteria. Rotation of crops (leguminous and non￾leguminous crops) in the same ϐield replenishes the soil with nitrogen
naturally and increases the soil fertility.
